Duties and responsibilities
- Reviews proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work.
- Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit price and manhour costs.
- Provides technical input regarding project and contract risks to lead estimator responsible for final bid price approval. Reviews final estimate to ensure defined work aligns with overall project schedule and cost goals.
- Prepares discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work. Calculates material quantity requirements from engineering drawing dimensions.
- Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Perform additional assignments per management’s direction.
- Monitors client addendum and advises the estimating team on changes during the estimate period.
- Assists with design review options and recommends best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.
- Partners with estimating team to prepare and conduct project hand-off meetings between business development team and project management team.
- Researches and recommends vendors and subcontractors for designated scopes of work to achieve schedule and cost goals.
- Performs work on multiple projects concurrently with ability to prioritize.
- Review pertinent documentation/conduct site visit as necessary for constructability assessments e.g. installation access, man lifts, scaffolding, cranes etc.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field required.
- 15+ year experience in construction industry, estimating or cost control required.
- Experience in estimating Water projects (water / wastewater treatment) required.
- Specialized knowledge and experience in alternative construction delivery methods will be a plus
- Texas market experience highly preferred.
- Advanced knowledge Timberline/SAGE Estimating Software
- Communication and interpersonal skills for clear and effective support research, recommendations and pricing.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Time management and strong prioritization skills to meet tight turnaround and bid deadlines.
- The position may require travel and extended workdays

Industrial Concrete Foreman
Location : Houston, TX
Pay Scale :$60,000 – $75,000 Annually (Plus Commission)

Position :Full Time
The role
We are looking to employ an experienced foreman capable of supervising industrial civil construction jobs and physically work with his tools alongside the crew. Must be willing to travel. Travel expenses are paid by company. Experience in water and waste-water treatment plants and chemical plants will be an advantage.
Foreman Responsibilities:
Must have concrete experience in flatwork, and industrial structures.
Must have experience erecting minor mechanical piping, valves, generators, and other light industrial equipment.
Must know how to operate Excavator, grader and All terrain forklift.
Must have ability to recruit crew for various jobs locally and get the job done.
Must have leadership skills, common sense, highly motivated, be able to follow specific instructions.
Concrete Foreman Requirements:
Proven experience working as a Concrete OR Mechanical Foreman.
Drivers License is a must, Commercial Drivers License is a plus.
Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS DRUG TEST!!

Water and wastewater Foreman
Location : Houston, TX
Pay Scale :$90,000 Annually, truck allowance (Plus Commission)
Position :Full Time
The role
We are looking to employ an experienced water and wastewater construction foreman capable of supervising civil and mechanical aspects of the water and wastewater construction industry. The foreman is expected to physically work with his tools alongside the crew. Must be willing to travel. Travel expenses are paid by company.
Foreman Responsibilities:
Must have concrete experience in vertical, flatwork, and industrial structures such as lift stations, wastewater treatment plant structures, water plant tank foundations etc.
Must have experience erecting mechanical piping, valves, generators, and other heavy equipment.
Must know how to operate Excavator, grader and All terrain forklift.
Must have ability to recruit crew for various jobs locally and get the job done.
Must have leadership skills, common sense, highly motivated, be able to follow specific instructions.
Concrete Foreman Requirements:
Proven experience working as a Concrete & Mechanical Foreman in the water and waste water industry.
Valid Driver’s License is mandatory, Commercial Drivers License is a plus.
Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
